ASSOCIATE DVM
Fort Worth Animal Emergency Hospital Associate DVMs are responsible for providing emergency medical care to animals in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. These doctors have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Associate DVMs report directly to the Chief of Staff. The responsibility of FWAEH Associate DVM is to provide emergency medical care to our patients which may include, but is not limited to:
- Triaging patients
- Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries
- Performing surgery if appropriate
- Administering anesthesia
- Prescribing medications
- Case management of patients admitted to ICU
- Communicate with clients about their pets' conditions and treatment plans
- Work as part of a team to provide the best possible care for patients
- Stay up to date on the latest veterinary medical advances
