Dr. Bierwiaczonek was born in Warsaw, Poland and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Pace University with a BS in Biology. She worked as a veterinary technician at a small animal clinic and later as a laboratory technician in a cancer research facility. She obtained a DVM degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Before working in Emergency Medicine Dr. Bierwiaczonek was a general practitioner, completed a rotating internship and two surgical internships. Her professional interests include trauma and stabilization of critical patients, wound management and all aspects of surgery.
Outside of the hospital Dr Bierwiaczonek enjoys exploring hiking trails with her dogs, plants, cooking and baking.
